Diane Murray
Diane Murray studied drawing, composition, ceramics, and design classes at San Jose State College as an art minor and has taken many workshops in various mediums—including online courses—in watercolor, acrylics, photography, oil and pastel.
She taught English to middle and high school students in Pittsburgh Public Schools for over 30 years and used art to involve her students in writing and reading. She developed skills in desktop publishing and photography to express ideas through illustration and design using Ventura Publishing, Corel Draw, Photoshop, Adobe Premier and Lightroom. Currently, she teaches and does demos in PanPastels and watercolor, as well as using Procreate on an iPad for art.
Diane is active in many local art groups. She is president of Whitehall Arts and sets up art classes for South Arts. She is also a member of the Pittsburgh Watercolor Society, Pittsburgh Pastel Artists League, Upper St. Clair Art League and McMurray Art League. She has won various awards in local art shows for her paintings in watercolor and pastel.
