David Watterson

David Watterson is a Fine Arts graduate from Carnegie Mellon University. After a career in the Graphic Arts field, he has returned to the analog world, painting in both acrylics and oils. The imagery is inspired by the feeling of space and memory. I see a story in old rundown structures, I know that there are memories and a history in each of these buildings, no matter how decrepit they may appear. Other places are naturally inspiring and awe inspiring. I often listen to and think about music when creating artwork. I feel that if I could ever convey the emotions that Kris Kristofferson evoked in his song “Sunday Mornin’ Comin’ Down”, I would have had real success.
