China Jones
China Jones is a Pittsburgh based Printmaker and Illustrator. She is drawn to linocut printmaking for its meditative qualities and experimental process. She aims to capture the beauty of nature while exploring unique and sometimes unexpected color palettes that show the unseen colors in nature.
Her work is created by carving an image out of linoleum and applying layers of ink to the surface with a brayer. The block is then pressed onto cotton rag paper, creating a unique impression.
